Plotter rolls
Copying / printing of plans from rolls
There are two main printing techniques :
- black monochrome laser
- monochrome or colour ink jet
Monochrome laser :
Monochrome laser is intended for use on high speed printers, with a high printing rate of up to 10 A0s per minute.
For these machines, a paper must have :
- very good laser aptitude, good dimensional stability
- no curl after the heated section to allow for on-line problem-free folding
- good folding resistance for subsequent problem-free handling of the on-line folded document
- A full and special LASER range : monochrome and colour, photocopiers and plan plotters, 100% recycled.
On these machines 75 gsm 175 m rolls on 76 mm cores are usually used
Ink jet :
Ink jet printing is used for short low-speed runs of colour prints.
The documents are printed with "lines and blocks". Image reproduction is not common in this type of application.
Ink jet printing requires a specially treated paper to guarantee :
- good colour density
- quick drying
- excellent line definition
- A full and special INK JET range : drafts and proofs, high definition colour images, matt coated photo quality, 100% recycled.
On these machines 50 or 90 m rolls on 50 mm cores are usually used.
The paper is typically either 80 or 90 gsm.
